The French striker has been linked with Liverpool in recent rumours.
Liverpool FC look almost certain to have themselves a new striker this summer. Between Darwin Nunez’s near-move to Saudi Arabia in the January window and their reported interest in the very expensive Aleksander Isak, it seems almost inevitable there’ll be a new face in the attacking mix next season.
One other name that’s been linked as a potential signing for the Reds has been Eintracht Frankfurt’s Hugo Ekitike. The 22-year-old French striker has 19 goals and eight assists in 39 appearances. A transfer fee of €80 million has been bandied about in the press, which, while still considerable, looks much more reasonable than the £130-150 million figure that’s been thrown out for Isak.
Eintracht Frankfurt are continuing their pursuit of Jonathan #Burkardt. He remains a top transfer target for Markus Krösche and Dino Toppmöller.

There might be movement on that front, as according to Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg, Frankfurt are already on the lookout for a new striker. Is this a replacement for Ekitike, who’s seem like he’s on the verge of a summer move away from Frankfurt? Stay tuned.
