Close followers of our youth teams may also have noticed that he has been included in our U-19 squads for the UEFA Youth League— although he has not played in that competition, mainly deputising for Kornel Misciur.
The first professional contract is a huge leap for any young player, and here’s hoping we see more of Bailey in the years to come. It’s slightly more difficult for goalkeepers to break through to the fringes of the senior ranks since there’s only one spot on the pitch, but seeing Caoimhin Kelleher and Vítězslav Jaroš in the first team has to be hugely motivating and proof that it can be done. Congrats Bailey, YNWA.
