Mohamed Salah has quietly reached an incredible goal tally and his manager cannot praise him enough.
Speaking ahead of Liverpool’s fixture against West Brom on Sunday, manager Jürgen Klopp the Mohamed Salah’s influence on his Liverpool side.
The Egyptian’s late goal against Manchester United on Thursday brought him level with Harry Kane in the Golden Boot battle, with Salah bringing his tally in all comps up to 30.
Salah made his 200th appearance for the Reds, bringing his career tally in a red shirt up to 124 goals — level with Robbie Fowler and one ahead of Ian Rush.

Reaching 30 goals or more in a season is a remarkable feat, and Salah joins an equally star-studded list of players who have achieved it since 1963, according to Andrew Beasley on Twitter.
Salah has never scored less than 20 goals in a season for Liverpool, showcasing his consistency for the club (his lowest tally was 23 goals in the 2019/20 season).

Klopp is clear that Salah’s influence is not just in his goal tally, however, and the manager also drew attention to the Egyptian’s incredible development since joining the club.
“With Mo, from the guy who scores from time to time and is a really good football player to this goalscoring machine is a massive development.
“He is an outstanding signing, but for sure the way he developed, the way he treats himself, the game preparation, the training preparation, training attitude and all these kind of things, that’s exceptional.”
It’s this development, and how he approaches the game as a whole that causes Salah to stand out.
“That’s a real role model,” Klopp concludes — and certainly the mentality Salah has shown to get to the pinnacle of the game can inspire many a young player.
