Former Nigeria international Olalekan Ajayi has stated that Nigerians shouldn’t be carried away by the frank realities of the current state of basketball in the country despite the impressive turnouts of results and performance of the Men’s basketball national team ahead of the fast approaching Olympics in Tokyo.
Ajayi speaking in a chat gathered by brila.net following the morale boosting performance of the D’Tigers who have beaten the number one and fourth ranked Basketball nation in the world in USA and Argentina respectively said the the victories are good but have concealed a lot about the stagnation of the game locally in Nigeria with little or nothing to write about home talents.
