Ethiopian runner Ulfata Deresa has emerged as the winner of the 2022 Lagos City Marathon sponsored by Access Bank on Saturday.
Deresa claimed the price of $30,000 after running the 42km race in two hours 11 minutes and 54 seconds.
The first runner-up, David Barmasai, finished the 42Km race in two hours, 13 minutes, and 33 seconds and received a cheque of $20,000.
The marathon started at the National Stadium in Surulere and went all the way to the Eko Atlantic City along the Ahmadu Bello Way, Victoria Island.
