Former Nigerian international, Etim Esin has urged the Super Eagles coach, Jose Peseiro to improve his tactics if the team must overcome Zimbabwe in Sunday’s 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
Recall that Nigeria began their campaign on a shaky note after being held 1-1 by Lesotho on Thursday at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo.
However, Esin, who is unhappy with the result against Lesotho, called on the Portuguese tactician to get his tactics right against Zimbabwe in order to get the team flying again.

He made this known in an interview with Completesports.com.
“In the game against Lesotho, you can see that the team was not sound technically and tactically. When Zimbabwe get to know that we played a draw against Lesotho, they will be gear up for Nigeria.
“On paper, a lot of us would have predicted that the Super Eagles will triumph over Zimbabwe but with what happened against Lesotho, it’s hard to predict now.”
“Peseiro must get his tactics right because that was the missing link against Lesotho. Besides, something has to be done technically and drastically for the team to get flying again.”
