Liverpool were rewarded for their phenomenal European form with a trip to Paris to start the knockout rounds. It feels a touch unfair, but there’s nothing they can do about it now: they’ll just have to beat the team that’s in front of them. Although away goals are no longer a thing (boo, UEFA), Liverpool will still want to head back to Anfield with a good chance to go through, so avoiding a heavy defeat is key (though a draw or win would be clearly better).
Also, someone please tell the Parisian police to not brutalize our supporters again, thanks.
