Eh… who knows what to believe on this one.

Over the weekend, Sam McGuire published a story for Anfield Watch, reporting that Paris Saint-Germain have a pre-tax offer of €80million spread over two years, with a potential third season in the French capital, on the table for the Liverpool FC captain. A hefty signing bonus takes the initial proposal to €100million.

The report adds that money does not seem to be a motivating factor for the 33-year-old centre-back.

However, journalist and noted PSG fan Julien Laurens rubbished that reporting today.

Honestly, it’s hard to believe the best centre-back in the world wouldn’t have offers on the table… but on the other hand, he’s been able to field offers since January. If he wanted to leave, he probably would have already signed something. I remain fairly optimistic the big Dutchman will still be at the club next season. Hopefully, that’s the case and he’ll be there to lead the team out of the tunnel in August.
