Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye has found himself at the centre of fresh social media controversy after his former partner, Jelicia Westhoff, made a series of explosive allegations against him in an emotional Instagram Story.
The posts surfaced just days after Okoye dominated headlines over his public appearances with American rapper Cardi B at Paris Fashion Week and later during a dinner outing in Venice, Italy.
The pair’s appearances together sparked widespread speculation online, making the Super Eagles goalkeeper one of the most talked-about Nigerian footballers off the pitch.
As discussions about Okoye and Cardi B continued across social media, Westhoff broke her silence with a lengthy post in which she accused the goalkeeper of mistreating her during their relationship.
“Imagine I shut my f***ing mouth, lied about what you did to me, so you could continue your career and all you do is f***ing embarrass us,” she wrote.
Westhoff claimed she stood by Okoye before he became a recognised name in football, alleging she sacrificed a lot to support him during the early stages of his career.
“You make me look like a bitter baby mother when I helped you when no one was there for you. I made you. No one knew who you were,” she wrote.
She also alleged that Okoye was repeatedly unfaithful during their relationship.
“Instead of loving us, you abused me. Cheated on me with men and women.”
In another part of the post, Westhoff claimed the Super Eagles goalkeeper does not take care of their son.
“You don’t take care of your one and only son. I don’t want to be with you. I will never forgive you,” she wrote.
Westhoff further alleged that she had tried to maintain a peaceful co-parenting relationship, but decided to speak publicly because she believed staying silent had achieved nothing.
“Being nice and peaceful brings you nowhere. You are a rat and I wish I was just like you, but I tried for my son to be a good co-parent to erase your wrongdoings because you made me believe that I was the problem.”

The allegations have since generated intense debate across social media, with fans expressing mixed reactions.
While some sympathised with Westhoff and encouraged Okoye to respond, others urged caution, pointing out that the claims remain unverified and represent only one side of the story.
